On September 30th and October 1st Members of Post 10217 Korat attended some activities put on by the Opportunity Foundation of Nang Rong, Thailand. The Post also donated 15000 Thai Baht for the purchase of T-Shirts for the Campers and Camp Staff. Representing the Post were Commander Chapman and his wife Lott, Trustee Sostack and his wife Pon, Adjutant Berg and his wife Pue, and Member Cardeiro, and his wife Liu. Representing the Foundation was the Camp Director, Mrs Add Simpson, and the Foundation's Thai Army Liaison, simply known as Col. Frank. The goal of the camp was to teach the kids leadership, team work, and discipline. The camp advisors were members of Mrs. Simpson's staff and members of Col Frank's staff from the Thai Army. After a bit of a rough start the campers settled in and had a fun and valuable learning experience. So did the members from the Post that attended the events.
