Francis L. Lown was born in Lawrence, Kansas and retired from the US Air Force in 1974. He came to live in Thailand in 1976. He is survived by his wife Siriporn, his 5 children, and a sister who lives in Kansas. It was said that he loved his family, his many pet animals, and playing golf. His funeral service was held at Wat Sutha Chinda in Korat City on 17 July 2013, and was attended by many friends and family. His son Garry came here from the USA for the funeral.
