Thai Children's Home
On 7 August 2016 four members of the Post and their wives paid a visit to the Thai Children's Home in Korat. We all brought gifts, mostly food items for the kids and staff. It was the first time for 3 of us visiting the home which is located directly on Route 2, just South West of down town Korat. It turned out to be a very informative and enjoyable visit. The kids and staff were wonderful and a joy to be around. The home has been there for about 40 years and they have raised many orphaned children to adulthood.
Their main concern, at this time, is security. They have had a continuing problem with robberies and their security is minimal, at best. What they need is a secure wall at the front entrance to the grounds and have asked us for our help in completing that project. Constructing a suitable wall is going to be an expensive project.
