The tradition continued as members of Post 10217, once again, gathered at Wat Po and placed flags at the final resting places of our departed comrades. A small, solemn, ceremony was also conducted to honor them and all of our departed comrades who, faithfully, served our nation. We had 13 Members and 10 wives attend the event this year. It was good to see so many of the wives attend the ceremony.
Below are some pictures of the Event

In what has now become a tradition members of Post 10217 gathered at Wat Po and placed flags at the final resting places of our departed comrades and conducted a small, solemn, ceremony in their honor and in honor of all our departed comrades who, faithfully, served our nation.
On 30 May 2013 our members gathered at Wat Po in Korat City where many of our Departed Comrades' remains are interred. Many of the wives came along also. It was a lovely day, not overly hot, and our incoming Commander Fred Berg led a solemn ceremony in honor of all who have served our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The day before, two members visited 3 wats in the area to clean and decorate graves of American Veterans. One old grave, pictured below, has become so weathered that all one could read was a first name "Phillip".
After we finished at Wat Po, most of us met at the VFW Restaurant for lunch. We raised a toast to recently departed Comrade Florencio "Val" Valenzuela.
